We All Need Grooming; So Does Your Website

Making the most of your website

Seeing as we’ve just revamped our website, we thought we’d give you some tips and tricks on how to make the most of your online platform!

  1. Put yourself in your customer’s shoes

How many times have you visited a website and spent minutes searching for what you actually needed? Frustrating isn’t it? Well, be sure to avoid making your clients go through the same ordeal! This can easily be achieved by ensuring that you put your visitors first and adopt a customer-centric approach. It’s important to put forward information which visitors actually seek and do so in an organised fashion. If you do that, they’ll love you for it!

  1. Imagery

Within a second of loading a website, you can immediately tell if it was properly done or if it was designed by a four year old. An important factor in a website’s design is the overall imagery used and how images complement each other from one page to the next. Do take the time to arrange a professional photo-shoot, it might be costly, but the results will definitely put you on another level!

  1. Make sure it works

Nothing says lack of professionalism like having a broken link on your website. Be sure to check your website regularly and test it from multiple platforms to make sure that everything is up and running. Navigation throughout the website should be kept easy and simple, no one wants to spend hours going through tabs on a website!

  1. Create quality content

In today’s world, creating quality content is a must. The emphasis should be on the creation part, with adequate effort being given to coming up with your own material. From writing blog posts, to taking your own photos, your followers will appreciate the time you took to stand out.

  1. Monitor Regularly

It’s important to gauge if your website is doing well or reaching its desired targets. This can be achieved by means of a series of analytical tools. Some of our personal favourites include Google Analytics (they’re free), ClickTale, Optimizely, Crazy Egg & Compete. Having this data in hand, you can then mould your website into the marketing tool that you need it to be!
